Whether your pet is arriving in Geneva or departing to destinations around the world – at the GVA Animal Lounge, it’s in the best hands.

Since April 2024, Moving Animals has been operating the animal station at Geneva Airport on behalf of Swissport and DNATA, accompanying every four-legged traveller with expertise, experience, and a genuine passion for animal welfare.

In collaboration with the Federal Food Safety and Veterinary Office (FSVO), we carry out the required veterinary checks for all incoming animals. If a pet cannot be picked up immediately due to flight delays or logistical issues, we of course provide loving interim care. A clean, calm resting place, a freshly prepared dinner, and plenty of water help ensure your pet feels safe and comfortable – even far from home.

We also look after animals being exported from Geneva, ensuring their well-being before departure. After check-in, your pet comes to us. In the peaceful environment of the Animal Lounge – away from the bustle of the airport – it can rest and relax until it’s time to board. If the travel crate has become soiled during the journey, we will clean it thoroughly before departure to ensure your pet travels clean and comfortable.

Our team is made up of trained animal caretakers – and above all, animal lovers. All of us share our lives with dogs and/or cats, so we know exactly what it means to take responsibility for a beloved companion. That’s why we care for every animal as if it were our own – with respect, compassion, and an attentive eye for their needs.
